Serve Moore Story Kit

Serve Moore mobilizes people to renew the communities of central Oklahoma. It began as a collaboration of area churches in the wake of an EF-5 tornado that struck Moore and surrounding communities on May 20, 2013. What began as a small group of volunteers organized via Twitter grew to nearly 10,000 volunteers over Memorial Day weekend following the disaster. Serve Moore continues community renewal and disaster recovery efforts for residents of the entire Oklahoma City metro. To date, Serve Moore has mobilized more than 56,000 volunteers to repair, rebuild and renew more than 4,000 homes, parks, businesses and neighborhoods.
